Response feeds

On most lesson pages, the textboxes will have a response feed.

Response feeds allow class members—both students and teachers—to see and react to each other's responses within the context of the page.

Response feed label

When a class member writes a snippet response and clicks Next, the response is added to the feed along with the writer's first name and last initial.

Response feed example

Anyone in the class who visits the page can see the feed and react with a comment or emoji. People outside the class cannot see it.

  • When you click Next to submit a textbox, you are automatically taken to the next page. If you want to see your submission in the feed, you have to go back to the previous page.
  • When someone reacts to your post, you will see a notification in My Lessons.
  • Teachers/moderators can delete comments.
  • The most recent responses appear first.
  • Response feeds won't appear unless you are logged in and viewing a lesson assigned to your class.

Response feeds are good for informal feedback and reactions, and students will often use them to see how peers are responding to activities.

However, there is no requirement to engage with the feed, and in a large class the feed can become fatiguingly long.
