Who's to blame

Having chosen a bad situation, we need to choose someone or something to blame.

It could be someone you know or someone you don't, an individual or a group, a character or an object, specific or abstract.

Here are some ideas for our bedroom and aliens examples:

"Cleaned up my bedroom" idea: mum, dad, older sibling, younger sibling, cleaner, crush, hobo, poltergeist, parrot.

"Alien abduction" idea: aliens (obviously), a close friend, a hated enemy, museum, government scientists, internet trolls.

Brainstorm people, parties or forces that could be responsible for your bad situation.

Again, you're going to need to choose one.

For our examples, we'll choose 'my mother' and 'internet trolls'.
