The bad situation

This snippet is a lament, which is essentially an extreme form of complaint.

To write a variation that follows the same structure, the easiest approach is to think of a bad situation in which you or another character would be very upset.

So let's begin by brainstorming bad situations. These could be realistic or fantastical. For example:

Realistic ideas: stole my bike; borrowed my hairbrush; used my toothbrush; left the front door open; told my crush that I liked them; cleaned up my bedroom; signed me up for summer camp; hacked my *insert relevant social media*.

Fantastical ideas: removed my legs; sent me into space; made me immortal; gave me super strength, sight, intelligence, invisibility, or other powers; put me in charge of the soul of an ancient child; cursed me with a ghost; made me a vampire; alien-abducted me.

Brainstorm some bad situations.

You'll need to choose one to write about in this lesson.

For examples in this lesson, we've picked one from each category: parent cleaned up my bedroom without permission, and getting me abducted by aliens.

From your list, which bad situation seems like the most fun to write about?
