Revealing the Secret

This snippet begins with dialogue. We don’t see the secret directly.

“Tell me what you see,” he crowed. “Tell me what is before your very eyes.”

The first character demands a reaction. Then they expand on the demand, which shows you how invested they are in the secret and the reaction to it.

“Tell me what you see in there,” he whispered. “In the shadows at the back of the tank.”

“Come over here,” my grandfather said, crooking a finger. “I want you to meet some friends of mine."

Write a line of dialogue, demanding a character to react to the secret.
