Where did the snippet come from?

The snippet in this lesson comes from the The Tiger Rising by Kate diCamillo. It’s a sad and beautiful story about a boy, grieving for his mother, who has to decide what to do when he finds a caged tiger in the woods behind the motel where he lives.

Where did the inspiration images come from?

This image is from Alexis Rives, a French concept artist. It’s part of a world she’s creating called Spirited. Check out her other paintings in the series; they’re great.

This image is from Kamil Murzyn, a Polish fantasy artist.

For the mermaid example, we used this image from Rostyslav Zagornov, an incredible concept artist who does work for movies and games. 

The hyena example was originally based on this artwork by the digital artist and illustrator Artem Chebokha.
