Getting feedback

What happens to checkpoint pieces when you complete a lesson?

It depends on whether or not you did the lesson in a class.

If you're doing the lesson inside a class, then there are a couple of ways in which people might see your checkpoint pieces and give feedback.

Your teacher can grade and leave comments on checkpoint pieces. They also may have set up Wrotevote or response feeds for you and your peers to give feedback to each other.

The most fun way to give and receive feedback is to play Wrotevote, so ask your teacher to enable it for your class or for specific lessons.

You'll know you can play Wrotevote when you see this card alongside your assigned lessons:

Just select which lesson you want from the dropdown and start playing.

In Wrotevote you compare anonymous variations and choose your favourite:

Once you've voted you can see who wrote that variation and you can leave a reaction or comment if you want:

After five votes, you get to see which snippets are the most popular so far (and this will change as more people vote) as well as see how many votes your writing has received so far"

You can look at response feeds at any time.

If you're doing this lesson in a class right now, go back to the previous page and look for the response feed below your variation.

If anyone else has submitted a variation, you will be able to read it and also leave a comment or reaction if you want.

Note: Response feeds appear beneath most textboxes, not just checkpoint pieces.

If a textbox has a response feed, you can click to see other people's replies, and post reactions and comments.

What about if you just want to see what you've been writing over time, or download your writing from Writelike?
