For a checkpoint piece, imagine a speaker is trying to build trust with an audience. We've seen a few ways they might do it:
- Show their expertise.
- Be relatable, by presenting themselves as just like you.
- Distance themselves from a competitor or opponent. ("I'm not like them!")
- Present themselves "honestly", warts and all.
- Show their virtue (or even better, have someone else attest to their character).
Using this image for inspiration, write a brief persuasive speech, ad script, or other persuasive text, focussing on presenting a trustworthy character. You might go all in on one method, or blend a couple.
