Even though that was a lot, we didn't learn any new concepts.
Instead, we saw how the ideas we've been exploring in this lesson can manifest in text:
- Interest created through characters, conflict, and context.
- Mood created through word choice, intensity, rhythm, and energy.
- Empathy created by describing triggers, feelings, thoughts, emotions, and behaviour in different combinations.
- And contrasting emotions that come from us empathising with the character one way, and responding to the mood and context in another way.
The ideas themselves are simple, but combining them all at once is a challenge for any writer.
So that's what we'll do now. 😂
