In most narratives, characters will want to talk to each other. But why? What are they doing? In this activity, we look at one action characters can do through speech: asking questions. We also discuss some of the different reasons characters might ask questions—for example, to get information, or reassurance. We use a snippet from Fracaswell Hyman's Mango Delight as a model.
