This lesson continues the examination of blending of detective and comedy genres in 'The Falcon's Malteser', focussing on an action sequence and tropes such as observational (and judgemental) assessment of the action, and narrative features such as dramatic text, similes and metaphors, and using text to speed up or slow down the action. We rewrite the passage looking at each of these details, and end with a checkpoint piece.
