Create rich descriptions of characters and action in a complex environment, using an elevated and expansive tone.
Description
Colin Thiele's Storm Boy is one of the classics of Australian children's literature, famous for its loving descriptions of characters in a complex and challenging natural environment. While written for middle-years children, the novel's poetic language and expansive point of view present a deep challenge for writers of any age. We would say this is one of the most challenging courses we have created, but it will help students develop deep skills in observation and description of the world. Each lesson in this course stands alone.
