A lot of the history you read is about people and events.

However, much of what *people* do is shaped by the *technology* around them (as well as by their local environment).

So you could argue that the history of technology and art is just as important as the history of people.

In this lesson, we'll look at how we write historical descriptions of art & technology.

These descriptions are factual reports, meaning we stick to known or accepted facts rather than argue for new claims about the past.

Let's start with everyone's favourite ancient technology, the toilet. 🚽
