This lesson is a complement to the lesson on Point of View. We explore how characters use values to make judgments, and how audiences use those evaluations to make meaning of the events in a story world. Through a series of reading and writing exercises we examine the components of evaluation, and how they are expressed in both first and third person point of view, and how third person narrators have the opportunity to provide a second opinion on characters and events.
